Youth Programs

Mission Statement

To encourage participation of temple youth in social action, educational, social and religious activities through a Jewish lense. Our youth will create and develop the skills necessary to build leadership strength, self-esteem, deep-rooted friendships and to continue with life-long Jewish involvement.

Chaverim (3rd - 5th Grade)

Chaverim, Hebrew for “friends”, is open to all 3rd-5th grade students. This group meets monthly and engages through meaningful Jewish programs on-site as well as off-site activities.

Jr. BOATY (6th - 8th Grade)

The Junior Beth Orr Association of Temple Youth (Jr. BOATY) is Temple Beth Orr’s Junior Youth Group for students in 6th, 7th & 8th Grades. Jr. BOATY serves as an introduction to the leadership, team building, and community service skills.

Sr. Boaty (9th - 12th Grade)

The Beth Orr Association of Temple Youth (BOATY) is Temple Beth Orr’s Senior Youth Group for students in 9th-12th Grades. BOATY is run entirely by its teen membership with the guidance of a Youth Advisor. BOATY offers countless opportunities for leadership, team building, community service, fundraising, travel and adventure! In addition to monthly programs, Reform Jewish Teens who are part of NFTY-STR gather four times a year from all over Florida to attend leadership conventions (known as Kallah) at host congregations.
