What is Rosh Chodesh
Rosh Kodesh literally means  “head of the month,” and we  begin our celebration at Temple Beth Orr by naming the month.

Why is Rosh Kodesh considered a woman’s holiday?  Because the  women  refused to give up Their gold for the creation  of  the  golden  calf, God gave women a special holiday as a reward for their faith in Moses and in God.

Our sisterhood  celebrates Rosh Chodesh by holding  an  event  every other month in member’s homes.  We study, learn, pray, have fun and enjoy  each others  friendship while also finding spirituality in the experience.

Please join us. All women are welcome.   For more information contact Judie Goren at judiegfl@hotmail.com
