About Partnership
Welcome!
We are excited that you are browsing our website and even more excited that you may become a partner of our Temple Beth Orr family. We are a warm, inclusive and welcoming community. Temple Beth Orr has been the cornerstone of Reform Jewish life in Coral Springs for nearly 50 years. We are certain that you will find partnership to be an enriching and engaging experience, and we encourage you to explore the many ways to find your Jewish identity with your new TBO family.
We hope that TBO will become your congregation to share the most meaningful moments in your life, whether joyous or sad, with others or through introspection. Together, with a joy for Judaism, let us support and strengthen our bonds as a community, congregation and family!
Partnership is the "New Member" at TBO
Now, in this trying time, Temple Beth Orr needs everyone to be a steward. With value and pride of Judaism and friendship, comes a responsibility to maintain our spiritual, educational, social and physical presence in Coral Springs. All of these important aspects of congregational life are dependent on funding this precious institution.
When you join us at the partnership level or above, you will ensure that our doors will remain open and our arms outstretched to continue our important work. For those of you who are unable to meet the financial needs of the temple to support operating costs, we will do our best to work with you. If this is the first time that you are joining our Temple, we have provided a one-year financial incentive to get to know our community as we have come to love it.
Temple Beth Orr's 2022-2023 Renewal
We are all excited and eager to celebrate our 50th anniversary. We are planning holiday festivals, themed services, concerts, comedy club evenings, social gatherings, trips, dances, dinners, as well as interesting speakers and classes. Sisterhood, Brotherhood, Fabulous Fifties Plus, Youth Groups, and Bingo all have something special planned to celebrate Temple Beth Orr’s 50th anniversary. Services are starting to fill up like they did prior to the pandemic and religious school is back in our classrooms. Our ECC is gradually filling to capacity and special events are being scheduled.
Our Senior Staff is awesome! Under Rabbi Rappaport, our services, classes and holidays are creative, joyful and meaningful. Eileen Kaplan has continued to lead our ECC program as one of innovation, fun and learning. Our Religious School, under the leadership of Jeannine Cotler, has created unique and interactive learning and community-building experiences for children and families. Ron Barhai continues to provide our youth groups with fun activities, holiday experiences, and friendships. Esther Zipper, our administrator, brings her expertise from non-profits and a very large reform temple in Boca Raton. She is warm, welcoming and she is eager to meet and help you. It is time to enroll your children in the ECC, religious school and our award winning youth group.
TBO has been a well-entrenched Jewish institution in Broward County for 50 years. During that period, we have become known as a welcoming and inclusive multi-generational Temple family. Along with our facility being decades old, the wear and tear on our building has become evident in the recent years. The roof needs replacing, as do some of the aging air conditioners. There are plumbing issues and our kitchen sorely needs a major overhaul. These expenses will be in addition to salaries, benefits, utilities, mortgage, custodians, security, technology, and so forth.
We need everyone to be as generous as possible in pledging your membership level for 2022-2023. It is costly to run a quality congregation and we cannot do it without your financial support. We are a family, a community, and friends who support each other through good times and bad. Our youngest member has not yet been born, and our eldest just turned 97. We celebrate and value every one of us! Together we are TBO!
We urge you to rejoin our special TBO community. We know there are so many occasions, vacations, and new purchases that were put off in the year of the pandemic, but we are asking that you make TBO one of your top priorities as well. Please give as generously as possible.
Without each and every one of you, our Jewish community cannot survive. Thank you.
