Coral Springs, FL – Temple Beth Orr is pleased to announce the installation of its new Rabbi, Marci R. Bloch with an exciting weekend of celebrations planned. The simcha (joyous event) begins with a special Shabbat service at 7:30pm on Friday, January 19th, 2018. The activities continue with a Torah study on Saturday at 10:00am, with Scholar in Residence, Rabbi Richard Agler, followed by a light lunch. Reservations are required for lunch. Then at 6:30pm, the whole family can enjoy a “Smores and More” Havdalah service and sing-a-long. This weekend will also be the kick off for a special mitzvah activity on Sunday morning, which will benefit In Jacob’s Shoes. Prior to coming to Temple Beth Orr, Rabbi Bloch served for the past twelve years as the Associate Rabbi of Congregation B’nai Israel in Boca Raton. She has a great passion for family education, life-long learning and working with youth and young adults. She looks forward to sharing her passion and love for Judaism with the community for many years to come.
